Introduction

Many people believe that cloning and cloning research is a scientific process that is a very recent idea. On the contrary cloning and cloning research has been around for quite a long time. In 1902, Hans Spemann developed two salamanders out of two different cells from a salamander embryo. Spemann accomplished this by looping a strand of human baby hair around the two cells in order to cut them away from one another which created two different salamanders. While this is a very interesting topic to discuss, there are a multitude of serious issues involved with cloning such as medical, ethical, and economic. Now that the history of cloning has been discussed the medical issues involved with cloning is the most important topic.

presentation response

Image
I liked most of the presentations that i saw during my time in class. I did not get to see all of them because i was absent the first day but the graphic designs for most projects were very good so that way they did not appear boring. Some of the thesis statements did not answer their research questions though which is something that could be improved on. Another thing I noticed with some presentations was that some people put too many long wordy sentences in their power points which made me lose focus and not want to read them. As Far as my presentation went, I thought I did well the only thing i want to improve on is the graphics of my presentation and bulk up some information on some of the slides.

research topic

The topic for my research is on cloning. I am very interested in this topic because i personally do not know much about cloning. However now since i have been researching cloning especially for my research PowerPoint i have gotten to understand much more about this topic. My research question is what are the issues involved with cloning? And my thesis statement is, "There are a multitude of issues involved with cloning such as medical, ethical, and economic." Some audiences that may be interested in my topic could be scientists wanting to get in on the cloning field fr research or really anybody that wants to be informed or passionate about their ethics when it comes to the issue of cloning.

Stand by me

Image
In this music video i saw many images that help influence viewers to contradict violence. moat of these images had to deal with pathos or the appeal to emotion. Just like in the beginning with the father that is dancing with his child. This is ideal for the theme to "stand by me" as a parent is there to help support their child. Another image that impacted me was the one of the all the children in the tribe learning to play an instrument all together. This help convey this message of "stand by me" because the children are being taught to work together on something constructive, rather than tearing each other down and fighting. This music video is called "stand by me" its on playingforachange.com. https://globalnews.ca/tag/good-samaritan/

violence

This essay by Gerard Jones is centered around the benefits of violent media and how it helps children grow up in society. This is expressed with his thesis, "The dual- identity concept at the heart of many superhero storied helps kids negotiate the conflicts between the inner self and the public self as they work through the early stages of socialization. Jones also supports this with evidence such as, “Fear, greed, powe r- hunger, rage: these are aspects of our selves that we try not to experience in our lives but often want, even need, to experience vicariously through stories of others". This evidence is helpful because it is a quote from Melanie Moore who is a Ph.D who works with teenagers. Jones is using the rhetorical device of ethos here which shows credibility for this information. Another piece of evidence from Jones ' essay is,  “Children need violent entertainment in order to explore the inescapable feelings that they’ve been taught to deny, and to reintegra

Russia Probe

In the first video from fox news the speaker for the republican party was not very clear giving answers to the reporter on TV, this is probably because she did not want to say too much and end up being criticized about it later. This is a way that a lot of politicians run around questions when they are asked. They are very good at answering a question without really answering the question that was presented.

My name is matt Maddox and I enjoy sorts a lot. I have always been involved with them all my life. When I was a little boy my dad started me out playing baseball for many years. I ended up playing travel baseball for Parkview and won some tournaments. While I was involved in baseball I also was in Taekwando for many years until I reached my second degree black belt.  This was a a good base for me to then enter into personal training for weight lifting and also transitioning into Mixed Martial Arts which I am still practicing to this day. For MMA I have competed and won a few fights but I mostly focus on just training. I also enjoy football, even though I have never played formally I still enjoy watching games and am a big Bulldogs fan.
